Royal Palace, Phnom Penh
Royal Palace of Cambodia is located in Phnom Penh, where it is the residence of the king and queen. Royal Palace was built in 1866 after King Norodom moved the capital city from Oudong to Phnom Penh in the mid 19th century with the style old ancient construction. The Royal Palace faces to the east with Tonle Sap River in the front. The Royal Palace is the classic of Khmer architecture that you find it similar to pagoda structure.
How to get there?
You can visit there everyday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the ticket price of only USD 10. You should wear proper clothes like long jeans for women. Noted: if wearing short jeans or skirt, you will not be allowed to go inside, or you will have to buy a long skirt which is available at the ticket counter.
In front of the Royal palace, you can enjoy the river view and feed the birds. Inside the Royal Palace, there are many small pagodas which exhibit a lot of ancient items and Buddha statues. Moreover, there is a small building showing traditional clothes which represent the color of each day.
