Independence Monument, Phnom Penh

Independence Monument was built in 1958 for the memory of Cambodia got independence from French colonial in 1953. Independence Monument is the nicely decorated architecture designed by a famous Khmer architect Mr. Van Molyvan. Independence Monument stands on the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard.

Best Time to Visit
The Independence Monument is best to visit at night time. The fountains of water there are lit up with changing colored lights, which looks nice for photography.

More Activities
Visitors can walk through the park and enjoy the night life. Along the park, there are many things sold such as pop corn, fruit, boiling corn, so on and so forth. Mostly people go there for doing exercise like walking, jogging, cycling, etc.
