Pech Chreada District, 43 kilometers from Sen Monorom

Bousra waterfall is the largest and the most beautiful waterfall in Mondulkiri, which is located in Pech Chreada District, 43 kilometers from Sen Monorom. It takes about 1 hour to travel from Sen Monorom on the red soil road. For transportation, you can rent motorcycle (for about $15) if you don’t have your own transportation and it costs 5,000 to 10,000 riels admission for the developed touristic part of the waterfall. Bousra waterfall is so big that it is divided into three stages:

  • First stage: the waterfall is a 15m wide and has a height of 15-20m during the dry season, and a 20m wide and 18-25m high in the rainy season. At the bottom of the first-stage waterfall is a nice and safe place that you can go swimming and have a picnic. And there are some local vendors selling food, fruit, handmade children’s clothing, huts and mats for visitors to rent for their picnic (you could bring along your own picnic). You can also enjoy dress up as Bunong ethnic minority and take some photos along with the fantastic view of the first-stage waterfall.
