Popokvil Waterfalls is about 4.8 kilometers north-east of Bokor Hill Station, which is about 40 kilometers west of Kampot town. Popokvil Waterfalls is a two-tiered fall with a shallow pool in between, but is not available for swimming. There will be a small amount charged for the entry, which is 2,000 Riels equivalent to USD 0.5.

The waterfall is easily accessible with just a short walk from the parking area. Moreover, if you are adventurous, you can get closer to the waterfall for much better view because the path is small, steep, uneven and slippery.

Furthermore, there is a good food joint selling some snacks as well. Popokvil Waterfalls is a good and relaxing place to spend the afternoon. The water is extremely fresh, especially during the rainy season, the fall is filled with water and the view becomes more spectacular.


There are many means of transportation to get to the waterfall. If you have you own transportation, you can travel directly from Phnom Penh to Bokor Mountain Hill and continue to Popokvil Waterfalls. However, you can also travel by bus, VIP Van, train, or private taxi from Phnom Penh to Kampot Province; then continue your trip to Bokor Mountain Hill and Popokvil Waterfalls by a rented motorbike or taxi.
